I’ve used Mederma on old & new scars since June of this year & they have all faded/smoothed out considerably. I still use it on any scars that look pink/raised until they turn brownish. I also used Palmer’s cocoa butter on my prego belly this year, gained 40lbs very gradually (I’m a small girl, 5’3″ 120lbs normally), but since all the women in my fam got stretch marks, I still managed to get a small amount. Mederma has a stretch mark formula that I’ve been using on my belly & boobs since I delivered (3 months now) & it is giving me the results I hoped for….fading marks. I also tan, so w/ that I can’t notice my stretch marks unless I’m really looking for them. I researched stretch marks & accepted that they are definitely hereditary, can’t really be prevented, definitely permanent (they’re tears in the connective tissue under the skin itself), & take time to fade. Ladies who have them, they’re your motherhood stripes, so do what you find necessary to make yourself feel better about having them, but accept them as a part of your body.

ok so ive got a question, im currently battling scales, actually i dont know if battling is the right word, ive only seen maybe 8 over the last week and all on 4 new plants that i just ordered, i can not seperate them from the rest of my plants so ive been treating ALL of my plants with a alcohol/water/dish sope mixture that ive been spraying on once a day. i have two hoya compactas that ive been manually spreading some of the leaves that have curled tight together and spraying into them... my question is that if im going and doing this once a day (which might seem drastic but my husband is on the verge of chucking all of my beautiful plants because of the work "pest") and the mixture is getting on the soil the plant is potted in do you think this is going to hurt my plants? all most all of the plants are either hoyas, spider plants or christmas cactus... i was kind of misting the soil on purpous because i know some of the pests will live on/in the soil, but im hoping its not too much to kill the plant... do you think i should flush the soil after doing this or would that be too much dampness for them to take? here are some pics of how my plants are kept together... i know that scales need to walk/crawl to get to other plants so im hoping that even though they are so close together the fact that they are hanging might help?

Hey Ian! From your description, it seems that they are bed bugs. By blood smears, remember that you are not looking for anything red, in fact, its usually dark brown as it gets dried up. Keep in mind that bed bugs are rather small so its going to take careful investigation (take your mattress out into the sunshine) to find them if they are there. Bed bugs need a host to survive and will die if they cannot get one fairly quickly. Fleas on the other hand can lay dormant for months! However, since you are unsure, you can use a steam cleaner for your bed, clothes and carpets (as well as couches) as the heat will kill fleas and bed bugs.

Hi, I’m 12 nearly 13 and I have these acne scars, blackheads and tiny pimples scattered all over my face and its so embarrassing for me especially at school since all my friends and girls in my grade have perfect skin. Sometimes people hate me just coz of how I look. I have very sensitive and oily skin but in some conditions it can also become quite dry. My dad too has oily skin so I think its in my genes since my mum also has sensitive skin and oily skin. I have tried as many natural remedies as I could like coconut oil, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, ice cubes, cucumber and steam but none of them really helped… There was no difference. Sometimes it even got worse. :'( Is there any other remedy that could help get rid of my acne and acne scars that are cheap and won’t irritate sensitive skin? Please help if possible… :’0

Dermatophytosis is a clinical condition caused by fungal infection of the skin in humans, pets such as cats, and domesticated animals such as sheep and cattle. The term “ringworm”, commonly used to refer to such infections, is a misnomer, since the condition is caused by fungi of several different species and not by parasitic worms. The fungi that cause parasitic infection (dermatophytes) feed on keratin, the material found in the outer layer of skin, hair, and nails. These fungi thrive on warm and moist skin, but may also survive directly on the outsides of hair shafts or in their interiors. In pets, the fungus responsible for the disease survives in skin and on the outer surface of hairs.
