The second way one uses the word "thesis" is in reference to a major paper that one writes as a capstone for his or her bachelor's or master's degree. Whereas term papers are projects that last one term, theses are projects that last several terms. Theses are usually much, much longer than term papers, often stretching past two hundred pages. Perhaps counterintuitively, however, theses often cover much more specialized topics than term papers. For example, one may write a term paper on Herman Melville for a literature survey course, but one would be much more likely to write a thesis on homosexual symbolism in Herman Melville's Moby Dick or on some other extremely specific aspect of one of Melville's novels. In fact, one could write an entire thesis on a single paragraph of Moby Dick . The goal of a thesis is to expound fully one's opinion on a given subject and to confront and exhaust all the opposition to that opinion. Therefore, one usually specializes his or her thesis topic almost to the point of absurdity.
The study of dehydration technology and craft fabrication can be a learning paradigm in the secondary level and vocational schools to enhance the students’ knowledge and entrepreneurial skills as well. This is but a small contribution with the Dakar Framework for Action (2000) that not only basic education be learned by today’s students but acquisition of learning skills and knowledge for gainful employment and full participation in country’s society. The project’s goal is designed to help students improve academic competence, develop employability skills, implement a career plan and participate in a career pathway in preparation for post secondary education or careers in the food manufacturing or services sector after graduating from high school. This goal can be achieved through the mentors that can teach the students the food dehydration technology and craft fabrication for use of the process. The output of this study is a source material that the teachers can assimilate and disseminate by diffusion and induction technique.
Thesis Title: Development of a Source Material in Food Dehydration Craft Technology for the Secondary Schools by Engr. Mary Rose Florence S. Cobar, Doctor of Philosophy in Education
Thanks Derek for the “full” article….I’m casting my vote….I’ve always preferred a No frills type of email and believe it or not….I don’t read emails I get with a huge headers and fancy images that cover half the email message…a few smaller images within the article is best. In fact I’ve been doing this for my email newsletters for over a year and I doubled my traffic and email sign up responses when I went to a smaller and cleaner email. Also, very similar to the way you do your emails….I gather my emails through mail chimp but create my email newsletter through my wordpress site as it gives me huge seo benefits.
